This blog is a window seat peek into the things that bring me joy. I desire to encourage, educate and edify all those who stop by.
Ain't I a Woman
Pearl of Great Price
One caught on!
Remember the crocheting Pass-it-on party that I had recently? Well several of the parents have let me know that their child really liked learning how to crochet and that they have been practicing. However, one parent says that every time he goes out his son hands him a list of types of yarn to purchase-LOL. This young man has been trying all sort of things: head bands, wrist bands, bottomless sandals. He even has requests from other people. Hmmmmm do I see a little business sprouting?
This young man (at the top)...
...created this head band and wrist band set per request from his father's friend
This is the best kind of reward and definitely motivates me to keep having Pass-it-on parties in spite of financial and physical obstacles.
Thanks for stooping by. I hope you come again soon.
My name is Tina. I am a teacher, writer, dramatist, storyteller and crafter. Although, I studied computer science in college, I soon discovered that I was better at being creative than I was at being technical.
In 1997 I started the PARABLES Drama Ministry. Through the PARABLES I have been able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through dramatic expression. I have had the opportunity to perform and direct in many venues; including street theater.
I like to cook, craft, sew and make jewelry. Hence, God is prompting me to include these interests as He is birthing PARABLES Productions and Events; an education company where we teach by using dramatic expression, stories and interactive instruction. Teaching creative subjects allows me to show others how to collaborate, communicate, create and exude confidence. In addition to theater related activities; there is now a venue to teach creative subjects like sewing, cooking and crafting. I host events where I simply teach lessons and skills that I have learned over the years; hence these events are called "Pass-it-on Parties." Now that's passion turned profession!
