My Black is Beautiful Challenge #4

LIPS are the topic of next challenge. This poem is written using the slow journaling technique. The pattern of the paper just lent itself to this type of journaling.

Spoken Word by Tina Riley
My LIPS spit surreal sentences
Verbalizing virtuous verses
Speaking spectacular speeches
Formulating prophetic, philosophical phrases
Chanting charismatic comments
Telling tongue twisting truths
Casting out confusion with concepts so compelling it convicts crowds

"I will open my mouth in Parables..."  Matthew 13:35a

Anointed LIPS...
With sweetness like the honey comb
Filled with Love's language
and milk and honey under my tongue
Smooth like a scarlet silk sash
My LIPS are lovely...
Adapted from Song of Solomon

DARE I SAY...My LIPgloss be poppin'
erotic forehead kisses
cheek smooches
sensuous
comforting
healing
soft
sweet

LIPS SO LUSCIOUS
sweet like flower's nectar
the carrier of my souls laughter
lipstick's favorite canvas
ready to greet with a kiss of charity
